COMMUNITY WELLS

• Community Wells are built on common land and shared amongst 5-6 families. Only Sadaqa/lillah category, Not zakath eligible as these are at times built in common areas.
• Building wells for masjids and community wells, Zakath is not acceptable.
• Sadaqathul Jaariah projects Zakath is not accepted as Zakath is obligatory that has to be paid by every Muslim, And this cannot be used as dedicated to Sadaqathul on behalf of a deceased member, It has to be a gift of Sadaqa.

However, we can use Zakath on Sadaqathul jaariah projects as in supporting and orphan or education.

TUBEWELLS

• Tubewells, are given to individual families, built in their courtyard or backyard.
• Different prices for different areas, depending on the depth of digging, raw material supplies and Labour costs.
• All tube wells are dug manually.
• These are given to individual families,
• And these families who request this water tubewells to be built are Zakath elligible but we do not encourage donors to donate their zakath here due to the difference of opinion by the scholars, thus only Sadaqa money is accepted or sadaqathul jaariah on behalf of a deceased member or to ward off any calamity.

WATER LINES and CONNECTIONS

• Water lines are connections given from the National water supply and Drainage board of the area, and the prices vary according to distance and raw materials required.

DISCLAIMER

• All wells are built manually as per request of the recipient.
• We use A grade raw materials for all construction.
• Photos are taken from step one of construction until completed and will be shared with the donors upon completion.
• Processing time under normal days and conditions is approx 3-4 weeks, However, the period may take longer during the month of Ramadan or harsh weather conditions.
• The recipient name, address identity card num and contact number will be shared with the donor at the time of completion updates.
• Donors can contact the recipients for any future follow up.
• WOH does not hold any responsibility for the maintenance of the wells and follow up with the recipients.
• WOH does not hold any responsibility for the payment of the monthly bills of the water connections.

Sahl ibn Sa’d رضى الله عنه reported:
The Prophet, صلى الله عليه وسلم, said:
“Myself and the caretaker of an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together.
